Conroe ISD Rezoning for New Elementary Schools Set for 2025
Conroe ISD is preparing for the opening of two new elementary schools in August 2025—Mittie J. Campbell Elementary and W. Robert Eissler Elementary. The district’s Attendance Boundary Committee (ABC), led by Assistant Superintendent Chris McCord, will review and adjust attendance boundaries to accommodate the new schools.
Campbell Elementary will serve students in the Oak Ridge and Caney Creek High School feeder zones, while Eissler Elementary, located at 14000 Old Conroe Road, will serve 950 students within The Woodlands High School feeder zone. In addition, infrastructure improvements are planned for Old Conroe Road, including lane expansions, medians, and shared-use paths to improve access.
Parents affected by the rezoning will be notified soon. The district aims to not only fill these new schools but also relieve overcrowding at other schools, such as Suchma and Oak Ridge elementary schools. The final rezoning plan will be presented to the board in January 2025.
For families and potential homebuyers, these new schools and road improvements further enhance the attractiveness of Conroe’s growing communities, especially for those looking to settle in areas with expanding educational infrastructure.
